Gina Carano Escalates Legal Battle with Disney, Seeks High-Profile Witnesses

In a move in her clash with Disney, former “Mandalorian” actress Gina Carano has enlisted a number of known individuals as witnesses in her lawsuit against the media giant. Carano, who was let go from the series in 2021 asserts that she was unfairly terminated due to her stances.

The legal action, initiated in February 2024 contends that Disney discriminated against Carano based on her gender and infringed upon her First Amendment rights. Disney has vehemently refuted these claims.

Among the individuals whom Carano plans to summon as witnesses are her former co star Pedro Pascal, renowned survival expert Bear Grylls and ex Disney CEO Bob Chapek. Additionally Carano intends to depose “The creator Jon Favreau Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and other key figures at Lucasfilm.

A federal judge recently turned down Disneys request to dismiss the lawsuit allowing it to move forward. The trial is set for September 25 2025.
